Biocontrol
Aerial insect releases unlock effective outdoor biocontrol, giving growers a solution to increasing pesticide resistance and regulations.
Faster Applications: Cover up to 30 acres per hour, augmenting predator populations quickly and freeing up laborers to accomplish other tasks.
Cost Savings: Low application cost per acre compared to hand releases.
Precise Delivery: Consistent distribution of beneficial insects that will seek out their prey after they’re released.
Proven Biocontrol Programs
-
-Conventional and organic grape growers are using a combination of predatory mites and lacewing eggs to combat their pest mite populations.
-Some growers have already been releasing beneficials via drone for several years. These growers have reduced their miticide applications or have eliminated the use of miticides altogether.
-Growers have installed perennial hedgerows to help sustain predator populations and provide places for them to overwinter. -
-Blueberry growers in Washington and Oregon are using drone services to release lacewing eggs quickly and with better consistency.
-In one grower’s case, it used to take two people two full days to hang lacewing egg cards across 46 acres of blueberries. Drone releases now cover their acreage in under two hours, freeing up their laborers to accomplish other tasks. -
-Large organic citrus growers are releasing parasitoid wasps to control California red scale.
-Releasing via drone is much faster than releasing by hand and requires less labor, making it economically viable to cover thousands of acres.

How it Works
Assess Your Needs
We collaborate with you or your crop advisor to understand your crops, pest pressures, and goals. Whether you’re managing aphids, spider mites, thrips, or others, we’ll help identify the best natural predators for your fields.Create a Customized Plan
Using mapping tools, we design a precise delivery plan tailored to your fields, ensuring efficient coverage at an optimal application rate.Order Beneficials
Our services come with no exclusive ties or commitments, so you’re free to choose the insectary that best suits your needs. If you’re unsure where to start, we can offer a list of trusted insectaries and distributors, along with information on their available beneficial insects.Application
Flying between 10 and 15 feet above the crop at a max speed of 23mph, our certified pilot will apply insects evenly across the agreed-upon acreage at a specified application rate.
IPM & Sustainability
Modern agriculture faces a growing problem—pests are developing resistance to pesticides, requiring stronger chemicals that eventually become more regulated due to environmental and health risks. This cycle makes farming more expensive and unsustainable.
Integrated Pest Management uses a combination of control methods to sustain our agricultural systems far into the future.
Biocontrol offers a solution
Break the Resistance Cycle:
By augmenting natural predators or parasites of pests, biological control reduces the need for chemical interventions, promoting a healthier local ecosystem.
Restore Balance:
Before the use of synthetic pesticides, farmers protected and augmented their predator populations to help control pest pressures. IPM brings back these proven methods.
Support Sustainable Farming:
Healthier soils, fewer chemical inputs, and long-term pest control solutions lead to more resilient and sustainable agricultural systems.
We’re Here for Farms of All Sizes
Small and Specialty Farms: Precision biocontrol for boutique crops, organic certifications, and sustainable growers.
Large-Scale Operations: High-speed applications for expansive acreage, reducing labor costs and pest pressure.
